Time for colour!
I’m back from India and full of inspiration for my next range of Fabulous Feltings – update your wardrobe, update your home décor – you can do so much with just one piece of felted art.
I am already taking bookings for Felting workshops for a minimum of two people and a maximum of just four you will experience expert guidance in the basics of wet felting, nuno felting, cobweb felting and hopefully have time for some wild felting! You should have four samplers to take away with you and with fingers crossed we can have lunch by the river and watching new lambs gambolling in the nearby fields. Come along with your mother, sister, friend or just yourself! I can arrange dates and times to suit you.
The wedding season will soon be upon us – why not give a fabulous felting as the perfect gift – a unique present, for use as a throw, drape or wall-hanging - and at a cost to suit all budgets. At the same time, the bride may enjoy a luxurious cobweb felted wedding wrap to wear on her shoulders in our inclement summer evenings. You may like a new wrap yourself to update a favourite dress – I can make something fabulous especially for you.
This year I will participate once again in the Tywi Valley Open Studios Arts Trail – make sure you have the dates – July 20th – 28th inc. - in your diaries and look at the on-line programme while we wait the printed versions. www.tywivalleyopenstudios.wales
We have so many talented artists in the Tywi Valley – you may have time to visit a few even if you haven’t the time to visit all.
This weekend – well, Friday and Sunday 5th and 7th April – I will be celebrating the colours of India by selling wonderful vintage fabric and colourful totes from Abercamlais, SA20 0SW. Why not make the trip to the Upper Tywi Valley – a most wonderful part of Wales. Only an hour’s drive from Cardiff over the beautiful Brecon Beacons and around the Horseshoe Pass – make a day of it and have lunch in one of our local hostelries. Saris are the perfect Spring / Summer accessory – split into a number of scarves and beach-wraps for you and friends, or leave whole and give your rooms an instant make-over by wrapping them around your curtain poles.
I hope to see you soon!
