finished feltings

Full-day workshops have resumed! They are  held in my riverside studio in the beautiful Upper Tywi Valley. If you've not experienced the magic of wet-felting before you will go home with samplers of basic wet felting, nuno felting and cobweb felting.

When you return (and I'm sure you will) you can take things a step further -  you may like to try your hand at making a vessel, a bag, a wrap? Or maybe working with prefelt to make an object from structural felt.

Cost per person is £80 to include materials and a delicious light lunch. I will arrange a date to suit you and your companions. Workshops are for a minimum of two and maximum of five on a day to suit you.

Please contact me for further details - workshops make wonderful birthday gifts and gift vouchers can be arranged. Or how about an alternative 'hen' party?!

If you prefer I can bring materials for you to have a workshop in your home or at a community gathering - provided social distancing and other current COVID-19 considerations are observed  Please contact me if you have any queries.

The course is great for anyone from total beginners to those with more advanced skills. The small class numbers allow her to focus on you as an individual and give you lots of tips and pointers to help you on your felting journey"

The riverside studio is in such a perfect setting and we enjoyed a very tasty lunch in the garden whilst our first pieces of finished samples dried on the line."

Jane's instruction and guidance is excellent and you leave the workshop feeling accomplished and wanting to do more! Our workshop was amazing and the lunch and treats we had all day was superb!! I cannot recommend Fabulous felting enough. We had a great day and I will definitely be back!!"

"I received excellent tuition and  felt free to be as creative as I wanted in a relaxed and comfortable environment. The time flew by, as we chatted and laughed as we therapeutically created not just one but three different types of wool felting. Plus I got to take my beautiful samplers home with me. It was a wonderful experience and one that I will cherish forever.
I'm so very pleased with myself and it was a pleasure to be a student at Fabulous Feltings 💙"

Claire said; "My daughter and I attended a course with Jane for the day to gain an insight into wet felting, and what an amazing day we had! Jane was so welcoming, knowledgeable and patient in teaching us this incredible art form. We came away with 3 different wet felting pieces that we had created independently under the guide and expertise of Jane. As if learning this was not enough, Jane also provided us with a yummy lunch and treats throughout the day. I would highly recommend Jane's courses and would attend in the future again"

Catrin said; "I had a fantastic day with Jane at her felting workshop. Lovely relaxed day with great ideas and teaching, especially being a non creative, Jane put us at ease and had lots of materials and resources (and patience!) got us to get stuck in with. The day flew by! Wonderful riverside location, great for us coming from both West, South West and South Wales. Beautiful lunch too!
Great value for money, great day out and with wonderful company!
I have also bought my wedding wrap from Jane for my forthcoming winter wedding and I cannot wait to show it off"

Karen said; "My daughter and I went on Jane's course in September to celebrate my birthday and what a huge success the day turned out to be. The setting is glorious, the food delicious and Jane was a warm, friendly and inspiring teacher. In fact we have both taken up felting with enthusiasm and have had some successful results!
On the day itself we made three pieces of work under Jane's guidance and unlike other craft courses I've attended we took home things to feel proud of. The inevitable 'mishaps' that all beginners have were rectified in a way that didn't make you feel like an idiot and contributed to the relaxed atmosphere.
All in all I would recommend this course for those who are looking to find a new craft skill or just want a fun day that offers a sense of well being.
We intend to take another course later this year to further our new skills".
